Electronics and Communication Engineering Department
This department previously called as Telecommunication Engineering established in the year 1984, afterwords renamed as Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Pass in Class X or its equivalent examination with 35% marks.
Karnataka students who have passed two year ITI course in relevant discipline are eligible to take admission to third semester diploma in E&CE in lateral entry scheme.
Significance of Branch
In the present era the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering plays a prominent role in almost every sphere of our life. It has penetrated in the field of computers, Information Technology, Electrical, power system operations, communication systems etc.
It mainly deals with the communication technologies along with the basic electronic components, design of circuits and systems. This Program is designed to acquire the knowledge of identification, testing, design of circuits/equipments and technical skills in the field of communication, microprocessor, software, instrumentation and consumer electronics.
The department has highly well qualified teaching staff as Sl.Gr.Lect, Sr.Gr.lect. & Lecturers who have vast teaching experience with them & are capable of guiding students in both theory and practical aspects. The department has modern, well-equipped Laboratories with adequate facilities.
